Does it ever feel like you’re chasing a number when it comes to your health? Maybe you’re told a lab result, or a number on the scale is too high or too low, and that you need to improve that number. Here at Lemond Nutrition, we like to break free from looking at numbers and focus on what it takes to have a healthy lifestyle that leads to food and health freedom, no matter what the specific need might be. 

With that being said, we actually will give you the magic number! For us at Lemond Nutrition, the magic number is FOUR! We choose to focus on four pillars of heath that lead to wellness and improved health. Take time to evaluate these pillars and what habits you can work on to achieve this balance in your own life. All four are equally important! 

Lifestyle

Some examples of this are to take a look at your work-life balance, sleep, and self-care. Are you going to regular doctor visits? Connect with encouraging people beyond social media communication. Our circle of influence matters! 

Joyful Movement

No matter what age you are, there is always something you can do. Some ideas include yoga… Here is one of our favorites: Yoga With Adriene, weight lifting/resistance training, or swimming. Evaluate your “sit time” and find ways to incorporate a fun activity into your daily routine.

Awareness

The WHY behind what you do on a daily basis. Did you know that eating uses all five senses? Take time to enjoy your food and observe how it makes you feel. Listen to your hunger and fullness cues…they are there for a reason! We often like to ask… what are you doing on PURPOSE for your health?

Nutrition   

Balance, balance, balance! Take a look at your plate and try to get three or more food groups on it at every meal. At a snack shoot for 2 food groups. Also, don’t forget about our friend FIBER. Fiber helps with lowering cholesterol, blood sugar control, food moving regularly through our body, and satiety! Think fruits and veggies.
