Nutrition, Self-Care, and the Holidays

I don't know about you, but with the holidays quickly approaching I find myself already thinking about my list of things to do. In previous years, it has been easy to get bogged down in the to-do list and at times forget to slow down and enjoy the moment. As a toddler mom, I am reminded that I need to be intentional and do things to take care of myself so that I may be able to stay in the moment and enjoy this precious time. This year, I have decided to mix things up a bit. I am going to be purposeful to engage in self-care in what is typically a very busy time of year. When thinking of self-care, people often do not think of nutrition. The truth is that food is a necessity and not a luxury. This means that being consistent with fueling during the holidays despite the busyness of schedule is also very important. Even though we know this to be true, many people still struggle to carry it out. Did the idea of needing to be more intentional or be more consistent with self-care (in any area) resonate with anyone else? If you are looking for some guidance on how to better care for yourself during the holidays, take a look at the Habit Tracker below and consider adding some of your own benchmarks for achieving a healthy you!
